We had an absolutely wonderful experience!  Jim and Kathy were outstanding hosts and the site is absolutely beautiful.  We appreciated some of the extra touches -- from seasonal decorations in and around the tent to pillows and a soft warm lap blanket on the chairs on the porch.  We will DEFINITELY be going back.

I recently stayed at Camp Temike over Labor Day weekend. This was a clean, beautiful, secluded site. The tent came with additional lighting, games and an incredibly comfortable mattress. The kitchen area included pots, pans, tea pot, french press and cooking utensils. There was firewood and kindling stocked, as well as a cooler with ice. The fire pit even came with a grill top for us to grill over the fire. Cathy was amazing host. She and her husband walked us through the site showing us all the amenities. They were very kind and answered all of our questions, even providing brochures for the local area. They were also available for any questions via phone. Coming from Philadelphia this was a quick 1.5 hour drive, and the perfect escape from the city!

Surrounded by trees and grass, this site will make you feel like you are a thousand miles away from the city. This was our first time going glamping, so we were trying to prepare as much as we could for outdoor cooking, but it turned out it’s unnecessary. They had everything we needed for making a wonderful meal. The owners (Jim and Kathy) are very friendly. They explained everything to us in great detail and made sure we felt comfortable during our stay. We had a great time! The only thing we regret is that we didn’t spend enough time sitting next to the campfire and doing nothing.

What an amazing glamping experience! There's so much to do in the area that my only regret is not being able to spend more time relaxing here. After dozens of camping experiences at state parks, I was shocked to be able to camp with actual privacy and serenity. There is no one around, and it is so peaceful!

We loved our time there.

It is quiet and has a lot of threes.

Kathy and Jim are super nice and showed us everything about the camp.

a tip: do not forget your bug spray, and be prepared to stay disconnect from the world (my phone company is Xfinity and worked poorly and my bf’s is T-Mobile n it doesn't work at all) so we could enjoy our time much better without cell phones

4 Oaks was the perfect place to get away for the weekend and have a camping experience while not sacrificing any comfort!  Our camp keepers, Kathy and Jim were fabulous and provided everything we needed for the entire weekend.  The location was also perfect, just a short drive to all the fun outdoor adventures that Jim Thorpe has to offer.  I definitely hope to return in the future!

    What is Glamping???

    Glamping [ˈɡlampiNG] NOUN

Glamping is a portmanteau of "glamorous" and "camping", and describes a style of camping with amenities and, in some cases, resort-style services not usually associated with "traditional" camping. Glamping has become particularly popular with 21st century tourists seeking the luxuries of hotel accommodation alongside "the escapism and adventure recreation of camping".
